The Parent's Stories

We all walk alone in abductions

The reason for this section is pretty much obvious to those of us who have had our children abducted.

To tell our stories of what pain and suffering we have and still are going through is pretty therapeutic, and for those of you who haven’t had your kids abducted but are curiously reading these pages then perhaps you may get something out of our stories. Hold your children close to you. Love them, respect them. Most of all they are your indelible treasures. Tell them how precious and loved by you they are, because as many parents of abduction know, sometimes telling your precious little ones can be too late..!!!

If you have your own story to tell then by all means send it to us and preferably with a picture of yourself then we will lodge it here with the rest of these stories, please send your story in Word Doc or RTF. We know how hard it is to write your story and the emotions that it will stir, and we truly thank each and every person for lodging their own stories up here on HUKO.

As we only know all to well what it truly takes to actually put your story and picture here for all the world to see.

To read the persons story all you have to do is be a registered member, then once registered and your email is verified automatically come back and click on the link of their name.

Divine Intervention in my son\'s abduction
Wow, what can I say? The pain of your child being abducted never goes away. I came back here to HUKO after years because, even though my son came back to the States after his kidnapping grandmother died of cancer (he was in Australia illegally for four years), the pain is still there. I just wrote Geoff to see what can be done about the Hague Convention, which is a piece of legal mumbo jumbo that means nothing. Geoff supported me emotionally when I was down and out, it felt good just to talk to someone so far away in Australia, where my son was, that understood my plight. Everyone thinks you are crazy when you tell them about this type of situation. But all of us here know it is a real thing, and can cause you untold emotional distress. The Hague Convention needs to be challenged basically because its rules are subject to extreme misinterpretations. The US State Department, the FBI, the California Courts, the Australian Government and other agencies did nothing to help me. It wasn't until 2005 that my son returned unexpectedly to the US, needing my help, that the nightmare ended because the kidnapper couldn't take care of him and had to return to the US to live their last days because of terminal lung cancer. To me, this was divine intervention, maybe not in such a nice way, but it finally alleviated the pit in my stomach that would never go away, my missing boy. The Hague Convention is so archiac and so nebulous in its terminology. It needs to be clarified and overhauled. Anyway I can help in doing this would be gratifying for me.
